When a blogger tries to be a guru in everything.

Featured Image: LinkedIn

Since it is Tuesday, my topic will be about my experiences as a blogger.

Funny as it may sound, but this topic is something that I am guilty of since I know little about blogging and did everything I could to appear as if I am already a pro in it.

And you know what, it was honestly not a good feeling talking to your readers as if you’re an expert in everything.

As my journey of being a blogger goes on, I’ve come to realize that we still need to consult people or do a little bit of research to have a better knowledge on a certain topic than to try hard enough to appear to be a smart one.

I bet in general, we have assumed that exploring is understandable and so we’ve treated everything posted on our blog like our own.

In my blogging career, I’ve seen many bloggers who don’t put a value on recognizing their sources of information. They also shared several photos without giving any credits to whoever or where those photos taken. They tried so hard to give several information, but failed to mention where did they get all of those.

We live in unfair world, where the people who worked hard enough are the ones who do not receive enough credits for creating a masterpiece.

The truth is…

We can never be a guru in everything. Thus, we need to recognize those sites and people we’ve illegally used their sources.

While I understand that being a blogger is a long learning process, they would appreciate us more if we will only focus on what we know about or something we are truly good at and not trying to be good at everything.

I know that it is a nice feeling to be viewed as a well-rounded person, but what we are most forgetting in making our blog is that…

We must find ourselves in it.

What I’m trying to say is that, we should be honest with our readers. Don’t try to exaggerate things just for us to get an attention from the crowd. After all, nobody wants to be liked by people we are not.

Now, I want to ask about your own struggle in your blog.

It is normal to experiment first, but losing our own identity in order to gain a lot of readers is just like putting all our efforts into waste.

Why?

Because one day, we will all become tired and exhausted becoming someone we are not.

So while it is not too late, just be real with our content. Just like what I’ve said on my previous post, we can’t expect everyone to like everything we post.

All of us have different tastes and interests in life, so try not to feel little with our work.

But count everything as our progress. Whether it is a small or big achievement, we have to recognize it.

As long as we are trying hard and working hard, everything will surely pay off.

Have you tried to be a guru in everything?

If yes, what has been the most awful experience you’ve encountered from your readers? Feel free to comment below!

Thank you for reading my blog post and my next topic will be published after this week.

Blogging Schedule

Featured Image: Unsplash

A few background about myself and my blog since I published this on a Monday.

When I started a blog last year, I have no idea about blogging. All I know is the fact that I have so much to share in this world.

Thus, last year had been a long and rough road for me since it is all about experimenting and getting to know what I want on my blog and how will I be able to reach out to people who’s needing some assistance if I myself were also a newbie at that time.

Fast forward, it took me more than a year to finally have a fix schedule as what most bloggers do.

But before I share my blogging schedule, I want you to know that this is still a trial and error. Meaning to say, it can still be changed and I know, we as bloggers need to be flexible every step of the way.

I already mentioned on my blog that I have a full-time job and this one is more like an extra job to get me cover from my other expenses.

But I promise that I will work hard on every topic that I’ve selected and here are the following:

Tell me about Yourself

⁃ Every Monday

This topic will be about me and my readers. I will share a piece of information of myself and after that, the spot will be given to my readers. I’ve included this topic so I can create a connection with my readers by simply knowing a piece of information about themselves as well.

Experiences as a Blogger

Every Tuesday

This topic is for all of us, bloggers. Let’s share whatever we have learned so far.

Motivational Quotes

⁃ Every Wednesday

This is a must have in order to encourage people to continue whatever path we’ve chosen. By simply receiving some words of wisdom, it will give us some kind of comfort, strength and confidence to hold on tight and persist whatever we have started.

Current Events

⁃ Every Thursday

This is to keep people updated on the current issues we are experiencing such as battling with covid-19, getting up after the super typhoon and so on and so forth.

How To’s

⁃ Every Friday

This post will be about giving tips, advices or some few reminders on whatever topic that I will discuss on.

To my RT supporters, this post will be done on a weekly basis. I won’t be posting daily for I will be running out of ideas.

Posting once a week at a given topic would be enough. Let’s start to be more organized for the upcoming 2021.

There will be some delays, but the given topic will never change on its day.

Saturday & Sunday will be a bonus topic.

Thank you!

After going through all my blogging schedules, today is about “Tell me about Yourself”.

I want to know how did you start your own blog.

Was it really your idea to start a blog or someone had told you to do so.

Feel free to share whatever you are comfortable to say. You can add what were you before you started a blog.

Thank you and I really hope that you are as excited as I am in becoming more organize on my blog.

Again, thank you so much for being a part in my journey.

Thank you for accepting my flaws, for reacting on my blog and for giving me some tips and advices as well.

My next topic will be published on its given day of the week and that will be a surprise. God bless!

Blogging 101: Does scheduled post works?

Featured Image: Pexels

Due to our busy schedule, this feature helps us achieve a sense of productivity.

But here are the things that you need to consider first.

⁃ Giving yourself a deadline helps you to become productive. However, know that if you craft is still not good enough…better delay it than criticize your work for your negligence.

⁃ Do not also post just for the sake of being active. Only post once you are done proofreading. I often say this thing, do not underestimate the essence of having a content or a substance.

⁃ Do not copy anyone’s work. Always remember that you can only stand out from the crowd if you choose to be original.

This is the reason why I do not read all bloggers’ work in fear of copying their style for writing.

You can get some help or gain some insights, but never let yourself to be somebody else. Let the people admire you for who you are.

But here’s the heartbreaking truth…

Not everyone will like about what you post. You can recommend your blog, but never force them to read everything. Accept that all of us have different interests in life and that, having few readers is enough especially when you are new to this field.

Just don’t stop blogging for whatever that interests you and make sure that it is worthy of their time.

If you want to build a strong and long lasting connection to your readers, just try to be as interesting as possible. Ask them about what’s on their mind or how they feel about it. In that way, they wouldn’t feel that you are just talking to yourself and avoiding people to react on your work.

And remember, there’s always room for improvement. So be open to constructive criticism and not from any forms of bashing.

Thank you for reading my short post and God bless! I hope you will be able to post with all honesty and not only for the sake of gaining more viewers.

If you were able to read everything…

What has been the most challenging part when you were just a newbie in the field of blogging?

Happy weekend, guys! Feel free to comment below. Stay healthy and keep safe. Gracias!

Deep and profound!

Sunday is my only free time to read a book and while I was reading on page 77, this short poem of John Maxwell captured my attention.

Isn’t it true that life comes only after pain? ‘Cause in pain we get to understand the true meaning of life. So while we are still alive, do things that will leave a beautiful mark in our world, most especially in this time of pandemic.

Make use of your time wisely. Share what you can only give and never look down on others. Always be respectful and know that for every blessing you receive is just borrowed from God above.

I hope you enjoyed the short poem that I’ve shared with you all. Happy Sunday and may you enjoy the rest of the day. 💛

Choose Your Own Struggle

You see, blogging is no different from working full-time especially if you are the only one managing your own blog.

The burden is all yours.

The struggle of promoting.

Thinking of what blog post to make.

How you want your website to look like.

It was never easy doing everything alone.

You might ask someone to do other things for you due to other work demands. Unfortunately, no one is willing to work for you without salary or wage. Not unless they are up for some kind of public service. But you see, nothing is permanent. One day they will come to you and sue you for not giving anything in return. In short, if you cannot compensate them, let’s just take things slowly.

Blogging is honestly not about rushing, but rather all about writing that has content and not just making your readers waste their time for nonsense stuff.

Right?

But one thing is for sure!

If you choose a career that is from your own will, it is possible and easy for you to endure the pain of working than pretending to love a job you have no interest with.

Isn’t it true that what makes us happy are the things we desperately want to achieve.

So, I’ll end my post by a question…

What struggle is worth having for you?

Thank you for reading my blog post, RT Peeps and may you have a blessed & productive day ahead.

Ever heard of this saying? “Doing Nothing Often Leads To the Very Best of Something”

Hello Fellas, I got this from the 2018 film Christopher Robin. It is just nice to know that such simple saying can create an impact to everyone’s life. It may sound cliché, but honestly it is often neglected by many even myself.

Growing up, I realized how hard it is to balance work, family, relationship and everything in between. Whatever you prioritize, there is this thing called a sense of gratitude. You’ve read it correctly! Admit it, we cannot survive every life’s struggle with no one to lean on and thus, we also cannot just leave them behind after all the care and understanding they have given to us.

Say for example, at work, I am pretty sure that most of us in general will not be able to surpass the hardships of extreme labor without any support system coming from our colleagues or loved ones. What we have achieved and what will be receiving in life is also their achievement for there is really no such thing as being alone for life. You may not have a family but I guess, everyone has that someone in our lives to help us get through it. It may not be by blood, but the connection or support system is there. Not just humans alone, but can also be your pet or plant you used to do a pep talk with. It’s quite weird, but though they are not responding exactly as humans, they are also alive and may somehow help you cope with reality.

Why am I sharing about this stuff?

Simply because I want everyone to remember that having a break doesn’t actually mean doing nothing, but rather creating a way to reconnect with your loved ones or someone who also needs your attention or support. Please do thank them and remind them how blessed you are to have them in your life. It may just be a simple gesture of love, but even small things can rekindle connection or friendship. We humans are wired to communicate and it won’t hurt our lives spending it for someone that also deserves it.

Try to observe your surroundings, maybe you need to water your plant or remove the dirt/dead leaves from them. Maybe your dog/cat needs a haircut or a bath. Or simply need a walk and play with them from time to time. You may also need some time alone to reflect or repent for your shortcomings. This may also be a chance for you to fix your stuff at home. Now, take this opportunity for the betterment of yourself. You might set a date for your loved ones or to whoever you ever wanted to express gratitude with, but failed to do so because of so much stuff on your plate.

Furthermore, also make a habit to cut your routine every once in awhile for there is so much thing in life and that is their presence. Do yourself a favor, make a call to your parents in case there has been an argument that hasn’t been able to solve. Ask for a vacation/sick leave in case your body is telling you to rest or might need a checkup. You may also request for a meetup with someone in case you want to ask for forgiveness. Reconciliation or closure is also a good thing ’cause you are freeing yourself from a heavy heart and hopefully, that will also go the same way for him /her.

In this time of pandemic, that does not mean we are constrained to do something about it. Nothing is ever limited to those who are willing enough to make time for those things you have failed doing so and is now willing to make amends.

On that note, doing nothing often leads to the very best of something because you are taking your time to redirect yourself; to correct what you have done wrong in your life; to appreciate their existence and worth. And most importantly, to realize God’s mercy that in everything we do, He is just there next to us who is always ready to extend his hands whenever we feel like quitting or giving up.

I hope I made you smile today and whatever you may be struggling, we got your back! Kindly leave us a comment below in case you need to voice out something or just want to give a feedback about this post.

Thank you so much for reading my blog post, RT Peeps! God bless and please don’t forget to practice the New Normal Guidelines in this trying time. Keep safe and good luck to do some catch up. 🙂

Why Would You Need To Expect Less?

Featured Image: Pinterest

Nowadays, people are so used to expect a lot from others; from their ambitions; from their status in life and so on and so forth.

Yet, they failed to embrace uncertainties for they already pictured what being successful should look like.

As a result of that, they tried to do more than what is expected them to do. But doing more without a pause or a break will only cause you to feel burnout. So my advice is to not conclude that what did not work for you does not equate to not doing your best. God is simply redirecting you to what you truly deserve.

Have a leap of faith and take one step at a time.

Valentine’s Day Blues

Featured Image: Pinterest

Here we go again and again. It’s so hard to pretend that it’s fine or it’s going to be fine.

Valentine’s Day supposed to be a celebration of love, yet so many people fell into idea that it was made for couples alone. It felt as if they are the only ones who are entitled to celebrate and to feel great, while others don’t have one or still not in a state of legal relationship. What’s more depressing is that, we single people tend to lock ourselves at home for we don’t like the idea of being left out or worst, being pitied and bullied on.

For someone like me who grew up being grounded, it’s so hard for me to adjust and to make friends to get along with others. My parents only have the two of us and they cannot afford to lose us. That is why, they are being so protective and sometimes, being paranoid✌ to the point of feeling that you cannot even breathe.

Well, our parents did everything just for us to remain happy and fulfilled. But though I always feel loved and secured, out of the blue, my heart will suddenly feel empty and the feeling of being lost comes next to it. But I have realized that I am feeling this way all because I was raised differently by our parents. I have just thought that, there is so much in life that I hardly relate to, which leads me to grew up being firm and extremely independent. In addition to that, I used to believe that my journey needs to be done alone and that’s fine with me as long as my family will be alive ’til 100 years old or beyond that age; or when I am ready to let them go.

Anyways, whenever I cry secretly, I die ’cause most people never know about it. I decide not to reveal my true emotions for I am sure that they will not understand me, not unless they were raised just the same as mine. You see, we may appear to be well-provided, but along the way, we were always constrained to do something.

I know, I know, that’s very saddening. Right? But though my heart is aching and feel like breaking into pieces, I still try to listen to them whenever possible and understand them that they are just doing it out of pure concern and love for us. As a result of that, I cannot imagine a life without my family.

For obvious reason, in my 25 years of existence, my life has been all about them and losing even one of them makes me want to die first before them.

So, this Valentine’s Day, all I’m asking and praying for is a complete family, ’cause (again) that’s all I’ve got.

How about you? What’s your story? Please comment below.

I believe, everyone has a story to share. Please don’t be shy to drop a comment on my blog or contact me at my business email, findrealtalk@gmail.com. Gracias!

3 Necessities Before You Change Your Last Name To Him

Featured Image: Pexels

Settling down means you are taking your life into a big chapter.

And marriage is not something you could throw up once you’ve become fed up of your partner.

‘Cause the truth is…

In marriage, there’s no turning back.

If marriage did not work, you may file a divorce to end your marriage.

But in some other countries like here in the philippines, it is not yet fully been approved.

Cause it is said to be that our country is a pro-family.

They believed that, legalizing a divorce in our country would mean encouraging many citizens to have broken families.

Well, that’s their say.

Which is why, the process of annulment (or to void the marriage) takes a lot of time, effort and of course, money.

Nowadays,

People think that marriage was an easy task so long as both individuals are head over heels (or madly deeply in love) with each other.

I know, I am in no position to say this, but let me share with you some of the things you need to consider before settling down.

Aside from having the man of your dreams (e.g. financially stable, single with endearing personalities, etc ).

Getting a stable job.

Being able to find your own self.

Being able to achieve your dreams.

Most of all,

Being physically, emotionally and financially ready…

You need to remember these 3 golden rules before deciding to live with him.

First,

By tradition especially here in the philippines, a man needs to ask a permission from the family of his woman before living together.

Meaning to say, he needs to marry her either through a civil or a church wedding; or can do both.

‘Cause I honestly believe that…

If a man has a high respect to you and to your family,

Legalizing the union must also be his top priority for it is the most important family tradition regardless of religion.

Not only that, it also serves as a blessing from above (God) if both of you will have a legal union.

Second,

The man must be able to buy you a lot (or a land) to prove to the family of his woman that he can be a good provider in the context of marriage.

Not just having the qualities of a family man or a husband material.

On that note, a good provider is the epitome of manliness.

If the man is not capable of providing for the family, it is better to live single.

Cause a marriage without sustainability will not survive.

Ladies…

For obvious reason, married life means you are ready enough to create a family of your own at your own house as husband and wife.

In my own perspective, size doesn’t really matter. As long as there’s enough space to start a family of your own, that won’t be an issue.

And lastly,

The most obvious one is of course, a house.

Something we could proudly say that we owned it.

C’mon guys, don’t you think that we have the right to manage our own house the way we want it to be?

Please pardon me for I have to separate the lot from a house.

‘Cause sadly,

Not everyone can easily build you a house compare to buying you a lot.

In most cases,

Men offered you a lot for thinking that they can magically build a house with you in an instant.

Not even realizing that building a house takes time which needs to be taxed and insured (not mandatory but still essential) as well.

Otherwise,

It can be taken away from you and your new family at any moment.

If you have acquired these 3 significant factors, I guess everything else will follow.

What do you think, Ladies?

Anyway, what for you are the things that will make you change your mind in order to settle down?

Please leave a comment below and share it with us your kind of point of view with regards to marriage.

Thank you for patiently reading my lengthy post, RT Peeps. God bless!

Dear Whiner, this is for you!

Featured Image: Giphy

I am writing this down to know if you are aware of yourself.

Was it a bit too much to ask for your help or are you gonna be like that who never stops complaining?

Was it really hard for you to do other little stuff?

Every time I only ask a small favor, what I often get is a complain when in fact, I did everything I could just so I won’t be hearing any complain from you.

Whenever I confront you about your sort of laziness and constant complain, you always brushed off my confrontation for thinking that you’re always right and your way of reasoning is always valid.

Just so you know, I had been doing everything in hopes that your mouth will stop babbling. But at the end of the day, once a whiner, always and will be a whiner.

Well, good luck on that. I may be hot-tempered at times, but never did I let myself become a headache to people for being too complaining.

Yes, oftentimes, I am very emotional when it comes to my loved ones for they are my achilles’ heel. But let me point out that I only ask a favor for only a few things and never demand you for everything.

I am hoping that one day, you’ll soon wake up and realize that…

At some point in life, I was right.

Thank you for reading my lengthy post, RT Peeps! Sorry for expressing my anger here. It just feel toxic to keep it to yourself and act like as if you are numb.

How about you, Fellas? Will you remain silent whenever you encounter someone who habitually complain? How do you approach him/her? Is it directly or you drop signs that what he /she is doing was completely wrong.

Please leave a comment and let’s pray together that this kind of behavior will soon end. 🙏
